Australians are not required to get an international driving licence while in New Zealand however they can only drive vehicles that are covered by their Australian licence. It is recommended that you visit the New Zealand AA.co.nz website to learn the local road rules. You must be 21 years or older to hire a vehicle in New Zealand. Relaxation Treat yourself to a relaxing therapeutic treatment at a health spa or simply soak in the hot pools. New Zealand is located where two tectonic plates met causing a large amount of geothermic activity allowing a lot of hot water to rise causing thermal hot pools. For centuries locals have have enjoyed the benefits of soaking in these mineral waters, some believing that they assist with health problems.
